Really exciting to have pretty much all the best grapplers coming over to see how they can cut it as an MMA fighter.. I'll be happy as long as they keep competing where there roots are at.

Galvao is a good athelete aswell as being a great grappler. I think he will take to MMA pretty well. He's gonna be able to pass anybodies guard in MMA.

Though his takedowns aren't neccesarily the best, so he may struggle with the elite wrestlers of the sport. So hopefully he can get some nice striking.

I also think his cardio will be better than alot of guys that have made the transition. Not that they have showed bad cardio neccesarily yet, but I think a few of them could in the future, Jacare showed a bit of cardio trouble in the Mayhem fight.

P.S Gabe Ruediger lost, what a shame.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

Well, I haven't read the article yet, so what weight class is he in? I can't wait to see him fight in MMA, he will be a serious force.

I don't know but his opponents usual weightclass is 170 and he could defiantly make 170 so that's my guess.

Anyone able to find the video of his debut? I've been looking everywhere but I can't find it.

Just watched it the quality is crap. However Galvao looks good. He gets dropped twice early on but he recovers very quick and his striking wasn't bad at all IMO better than most of the BJJ guys have looked I would say striking wise after one fight he is already where Maia and Jacare are.

His wrestling looked real good and his BJJ is obviously awesome.

He faced a real tough guy for his first fight. 9-5 and he's fought on 3 Strikeforce cards and a Shoxc card. The guy was tough and Galvao was the better fighter everywhere the fight went once he got rid of his nerves.

Cool

When he got dropped with that right hand early on, he did an excellent job of defending once he hit the mat. He didn't take any damage at all.

I thought he looked a little tentative on his feet after that(understandably so), but before I knew it he had Metcalfe backed up against the cage eating punches and knees.

Takes the guy down and IMMEDIATELY gets his back. The takedown into half-guard towards the end of the round, Galvao got mount almost effortlessly. If the first round had lasted another five-or-ten seconds, it would have been stopped right there.

Sucks that the video of the second round is somewhat useless, but if Metcalfe swept him why wouldn't he get back to his feet? Hanging on the ground with Andre is going to be an ordeal for many.

Can't wait to see more from Galvao. This guy's got some serious game.

My milkshake brings all the girls to the barn.

MOO!
