I saw an ad for the first time during the Charger Broncos (which was a hell of game by the way) game today. It was a 30 second spot that only mention Kimbo and Carano, no shamrock.

yeah I dont understand whats up with them. They arent even trying to sell there fights. Im here in miami where the event is going to be at and no one knows the event is even happening.

I dont think CBS is actually interested in Elite XC, I think they were a cheap test mule to see how MMA would be received by a national network TV audiance, CBS really wants the UFC but wasnt ready to spend the cash without a gauge as to how well they could do, Elite XC is pretty much a survey if you will.

I agree that CBS is not interested in Elite XC. I don't know if they are interested in the UFC though. I think a bunch of old guys looking at how much money the UFC is making, and they think we should get into this mma thing. Then the second show didn't go well. Now I think they don't know what to do, so the just want to be done with it.

I don't think that's the case.

They have moneymakers in Slice and Carano. If they wanted to guage prospects at all, they would at least promote the event to get the highest ratings they could.

If those buttholes didn't make the first show SOOOOO terrible CBS may have given them a chance.

All I can figure at this point is they want to wash their hands of the MMA business. Whether it be for political reasons, financial reasons, or for personal reasons.

Some people still see this sport as too brutal, the majority of US casual fans are idiots and a**holes... Maybe after they got a taste of all that they've decided to shut it down.

College football, MLB wildcard race, UFC broadcast and the NHL regular season begins all on the 4th of October, seems like a good time to rest the future of your company on a show that MUST pull good ratings, good call on that one, morons.
