Tito Ortiz sweepstakes coming to an end?

One suitor that has been ruled out is Ortizís last employer, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, who had been talking to the former light heavyweight champion about a possible return.

ďMost likely Iím not going with the UFC, thatís about 99% sure that thatís not happening,Ē said Ortiz in an exclusive interview with MMAWeekly.com. ďIíve got to be thankful for Lorenzo (Fertitta), what he gave me to this point, but itís too bad that they have a president the way he is, just hot headed the way he is, takes everything personal and I wash my hands clean.

ďI did as much as I possibly could for them, and they did as much as they possibly could for me.Ē

The new deal is still being finalized according to Ortiz, but he expects the announcement to happen by the end of the month, putting to rest his free agency and starting the next chapter of the ďHuntington Beach Bad Boy.Ē

ďIím in the midst of possibly signing with somebody. Iím going to go to a company thatís going to take me very seriously and use everything that they can use for me. In the public, in fights, in everything,Ē Ortiz stated.

ďIím going to move on and Iím going to try another company out, Iím going to see how it goes. By the end of this month there will be a big news break, where Tito Ortiz is going and what I did for a contract.Ē

Of course his mind isnít solely wrapped around his fight career as he and girlfriend Jenna Jameson are also expecting a child soon. The California based fighter is more excited than ever for his future.

He also added that he is ď99% sureĒ where he is headed.

ďIím really excited and by the end of this month Iíll let everyone know where Iím going,Ē Ortiz commented in closing.

I wonder where it is? I have a feeling it is EliteXC, but I also have a feeling that the UFC could jump in at the last second like last time and offer him a contract he can't refuse. I just can't imagine Tito outside of the UFC! Hopefully if he does sign with EliteXC his first fight is with Frank Shamrock.

Hopefully. It would be nice to see Frank fight the man who chased him out of the UFC 10 years ago.

The same Affliction that asked there fighters to take pay cuts and just cancelled there second show is gonna pay Tito's huge asking price? I would take you up on that if it had a set announcement date.

I'm guessing it's EliteXC, they need alot of help and maybe they feel Tito can turn things around for them.
