Horrible stoppage

The Riggs/Misaki stoppage was a joke. I would have really liked to see how that fight would have played out if the ref would have allowed it to continue. Riggs was intelligently defending himself, thats the rule and there is no way around it IMO, bad call.

I feel Riggs frustration after that one. Would love to see this one fought again.

I thought Riggs looked pretty bad. He had his hands up, but even when he rolled from his stomach to his back it didn't look like he was all there.

Not the greatest stoppage by any means, but not the worst either. Misaki was tooling Riggs on the feet anyways, mixing head and body nicely, using punches and kicks. I don't know why Ken kept saying Misaki should've taken it to the ground. Riggs' shots didn't look like they had his usual power (when Misaki went down, it looked like more of a slip to me).

Were any other Canadians completely unaware that The Score had the card on live? I didn't realize it until about 12:15 tonight, managed to see Thompson and the ME though. Bad production as far as TV goes (tons of dead air), but not bad for an internet broadcast.

I hear ya baron, had no idea this was on til the main event, the guide had it as an old card.

And yeah, I dont think the stoppage was great, I think Misaki was goin to win either way and Misaki goin down looked more like a slip than Misaki gettin rocked. Not to bothered to be honest.

Misaki probably would have won, but you cant know that for sure and that is not really the point. Yeah, Riggs was definately hurt and he was not really all there but the rule is if you are intelligently defending yourself the fight can continue. To me taking a shot, pulling guard, and keeping your hands up to deflect punches is intelligent defense. Misaki may have even stopped him right there afterwards, but he had not finished him yet. I guess it is over and there is not anything that can be done about it, I just feel it was a very premature stoppage.

I went to watch it on our PC at work, with no audio, and the site streaming it said they were feeding off of a Canadian source called "Score". So I immediatly ran back and turned the TV and caught the whole event with audio

Well actually I skipped alot of fights, they were pretty rough.

First of all how would you score that crappy first round. 3-2 because that was the total strikes scored the whole first round. It was terrible. The stoppage was probably premature, but who wanted to see the rest of this crappy fight.
