Affliction 2 and UFC 93 are on same night as of now

Which would you buy?

I won't be too happy in having too choose between Affliction and UFC 93(unless one is free). They are both on the same night(Jan 17). I know these cards arent finalized or anything but regardless of who's on them, which one will you choose to buy? Im assuming the draw will be Fedor vs Arlovski for Affliction(Mousassi vs Belfort/Aleks vs Barnett also) and UFC 93 is having Henderson vs Franklin(and im assuming a couple more really great fights because of the competition with Affliction).

It pisses me off that they are doing this in the first place because I want to support both of them but if I had to choose, UFC better have a damn good card because i want to see Fedor vs Arlovski and even Aleks vs Barnett 2 more then Franklin vs Hendo.

Don't get confused with the dates either, UFC 93 is on the 17th and UFC 94 is on the 31st with GSP vs Penn.

Rumors:
Affliction
Fedor vs Arlovski
Aleks vs Barnett
Belfort vs Moussasi

UFC 93
Matt Serra vs. Matt Hughes
Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson
Chuck Liddell vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua

Affliction still has the ability to set a different date and I would doubt that they would use the 17th now. A lot depends on Fedor and whether or not he will fight on the NYE DREAM card. He fights on NYE and there is no doubt IMO that they would not go ahead with the card on the 17th with the chance that Fedor probably wouldn't be able to fight or even having to take the risk of him pulling out. The UFC might even make this card free on Spike so I really doubt they would attempt to go head to head with a good line-up especially when it's free. PPV vs. PPV would still be tough.

That would be sweet. Though, if I were forced to choose based on the supposed card listed above, I would watch the UFC.

I was at the Affliction event and left slightly disappointed. The UFC consistently puts on top notch cards and the production is almost always spot on.

I do hope that Affliction tricks the UFC to prevent more Counter-marketing from the UFC.

Affliction is trying to muscle in on the UFC's market with top HW's and the UFC dont like this so they put cards on the same time as Affliction and try to prevent them from gaining market share as the UFC has brand loyalty.

Bravo might get Affliction but its unlikely so we will watch UFC 93 on Setanta live at a reasonable hour for a change.

The date for Affliction 2 has not been set yet so this may not happen at all(on this date).

Atencio dropped this minor shocker:

The date and location are not official,” Atencio said. “Everyone is tripping. Our next show will definitely be the 1st quarter of 2009 in January, possibly February. Nothing is confirmed though.”

You can bet though that whenever Affliction sets their date the UFC will either counter with a quickly put together Fight Night like they did with Silva vs. Irvin(for Affliction: Banned or, at the very least, offer up a not yet released on DVD UFC main card on Spike to counter it.
