GREAT Night of Fights!!!

I know the Kimbo loss is overshadowing all the other events of the night on the forums and in the media, but I wanted to start a thread in appreciation of an awesome fight card!

Ninja may not have fought the most brilliant fight of his life, but it was one of the most exciting fights I've seen!

The Kobald-Carano fight was also awesome! I have to admit that I was a doubter of Carano's skills, but no more. Kobald came their to fight and was a game opponent!

The Arlovski fight went about how I thought it would. I still think there was a possibility that Roy could have subbed Arlovski if they didn't get stood up. Still, a hell of a fight IMO.

The Shields-Daley fight was awesome as well. Man, does Daley have some awesome hands or what??? Shields reminded me of the Diaz bros last night. He was slow, methodical, and steady for the majority of the fight. And was able to stop an extremely explosive guy with that tactic. Hats off to him.

And the Cyborg clips I got to see looked awesome. I would have preferred that as the main card to Kimbo vs. anyone.

So, in short, I hope EXC doesn't go anywhere. It's really a shame that people think that Kimbo is the only thing keeping them afloat when the last two CBS cards were soooooo entertaining!

I agree. It was a great card, and all of the fights provided excitment. Very entertaining.

The Radach vs Rua fight was the most exciting fight I've seen in a while. And next time Carano fights it will apparently be against Cyborg, so I'm looking forward to that.

Yep, I agree, it was an excellent night of fights! Kimbo losing as he did was icing on the cake for me. This network broadcast of mma seemed to be much, much better than the last.

Yeah, despite EXC's bumbling, the fighters really pulled off the event

3 real solid fights, if they put kimbo as the opener, and got a solid main event, than its a ufc level ppv

I don't regret watching EXC nearly as much as I did when it first appeared on CBS. If I remember right, wasn't it nearly 3.5 hours? If it was, 2.25 hours is just right. It was quicker paced, not so much storytelling of the fighters, no more breaks cutting to girls dancing to plugged music, just more of an overall professional program. If EXC is able to stay on CBS, I think it could have potential; especially if it does FULLY align itself with Affliction.
