Kimbo is a different dude.

Obviously an odd character, who doesn't seem to follow 'traditional' fighters patterns. Giving a 'good' interview, staying for the full interview, being somewhat kind to the interviewer. I just find this post fight conference hilarious:

Not only does the man just come in whenever the hell he wants, but he just leaves right after he's done with what he has to say. Notice all the other fighters staying for their turn, if at all. The comments he had were actually pretty funny, and no, I'm not a Kimbo fan (get that out of the way.)

In the beginning I didn't like Kimbo thought he was nothing more than a thug and could not wait till he got KO'd and now that he has and to see the way he takes defeat I kinda more impressed with the guy he gave Seth nothing but respect and gave no excuses....hell I might even like him now?

I am glad to see that he did not use any excuses. But this is Professional MMA not back yard brawling. When I watch a Kimbo fight, it is almost like watching the WWF. Entertainment only.

I dont hate Kimbo. I love MMA. His is not MMA. That is my only beef with EliteXC and Kimbo.

Having a loss on his record is a step toward legitimacy IMO. I promise you he will train harder and smarter for every future fight he has.

I don't know if it will make much of a difference. Only if they start to give him normal opponents. Not these Grade A, tried and true tomato cans that most people on this forum could decimate.

If that was Kimbo's "frist black eye ever" as he put it, he didn't grow up as tough as he says he did.

Or he just always made sure to fight guys he could beat.

I doubt that, though.

And that he isn't training nearly hard enough.

No kidding, Ive never fought competitevly but I took a little boxing growing up and used to fight quite a bit and I got ALOT of black eyes, even I'd say over half the fights I won I came out of with a black eye never mind the ones when I got my ass kicked.
