But believe it or not Affliction could make a lot of other interesting match-ups that doesn't involve Fedor.

We could see fights like...
Barnett vs. Sylvia
Aleks vs. Arlovski
Barnett vs. Aleks 2
Sylvia vs. Aleks (yes people do like watching Big Tim)
Arlovski vs. Rizzo 2 (Some people might get off on this rematch)

Also with the possibility of Werdum coming to Affliction we could see..
Aleks vs. Werdum
Barnet vs. Werdum
Sylvia vs. Werdum
Once again, when did Werdum sign with Affliction? Who honestly thinks we will see Aleks vs Fedor? I agree with Toxic that Affliction has many of the past stars of the division, and the UFC has most of the future. That is not to say that Fedor and Barnett aren't currently top HW's. They are but how long will Fedor hang around the sport? What fights outside the UFC (let's be honest he's not going to sign and UFC won't cross-promote) are there to interest him? He beats Arlovski and Barnett then what?

Did I say it was a fact that Werudm was coming to Affliction? I'll have to read my post again but I'm pretty sure I said it was a POSSIBILITY! A POSSIBILITY that he may come to Affliction.

I fully acknowledge that he might not sign with them. He could just as easily sign with WVR or Dream. What I am saying is if the rumors are true and that he does sign with Affliction then it does opens some doors for some interesting match-ups. That is all I was saying. Sorry I came out like a dick at the beginning but I wanted to get my point across.

Franklin McNeil said on mma live that there is no chance that Werdum is signing with Affliction right now.

The UFC deffinitly has the stronger and deeper division. Affliction has more of a challenger of the month club type thing going.

UFC:
Minotauro Nogueira
Randy Couture
Brock Lesner
Frank Mir
Gabriel Gonzaga
Cheick Kongo
Junior Dos Santos
Heath Herring
Cain Valasquez
Shane Carwin
Antoni Hardonk
Eddie Sanchez
Jake O'Brien
Mustapha Al-Turk
Christian Wellisch
Justin McCully
Neil Wain
Dan Evenson
Mark Burch
Pat Berry

Thats 20 guy's in total.

Affliction:
Fedor Emelianeko
Andre Arlovski
Josh Barnett
Aleks Emelianeko
Paul Buentello
Pedro Rizzo
Kiril Sidelnikov

Tim Sylvia and Ben Rothwell are free agents that aren't signed to Affliction.

So unless I'm missing anyone that leaves a total of 7 fighters in the division. Most of whom have already fought or won't fight each other. Thats not much of a division besides a few noteworthy fights.

AFfliction has a better HW division, but when you put on a show once every 6 months its not really a division of fighters, seems more like a rare occassion...
