If you're asking if mmaforum is a good (worthwhile) website, the answer is yes.
Like any forum you're going to get your share of idiots but they don't last long, the monitors on here are very quick seek out those people. The more time you spend on here you'll start to recognize people that share your views, or dissagree with you regularly. All and all, it's good fun and by far my most visited site on the internet.
If you're asking whether or not competing in MMA is worth it. I did it for three years from 18-21, which was 7 years ago now. You have to really, really want it. It's hard work and a lot of fun, but you make practically no money at first. Maybe, the game in the amateure world has changed in the last 7 years, in fact I'm sure it has since my experience was before The UFC (and MMA's) world domination, but you have to really really really love it, and know that you're in for a long road before you can even consider doing it full time.
Having said that, good luck to you.
Hope that helps
