Boxing is awesome. MMA fans need to get their heads out of their asses and realize that MMA and boxing are 2 different combat sports. I watch me some Bas Rutten, Frank Shamrock, Pernell Whitaker, Salvador Sanchez, Roberto Duran and Rumina Sato.

I don't know why people are so happy to see such a great sport die (Not saying it's dying or anything).

Hardly. I was the biggest Boxing fan there was. I just don't dig the sport any more, im sure I missed alot of great fights but the whole tyson **** and ear bitting episode just let it sour for me. Ill always love Boxing but its deader than dead. I dont follow it any more and couln't tell ya whos "the shit" nower days; but we can talk it's history all night.

Boxings decline has nothing to do with the fights or the fighters and everything to do with the promoters. This year has been an amazing year for great fights in boxing, unfortunately the good match ups get zero backing.

The only decline with boxing is in mainstream coverage with in the US, something the UFC gets more of with the casual fan/guys who buy tapout shirts. Boxing is still globally superior than mma, especially in places like Mexico, the UK, etc.

Not enough young up and coming stars, which is why Oscar (who hasn't beaten a top ranked fighter since Vargas) is still their best draw. It's time for a new generation to cary on...... with Bernard Hopkins

Manny/Ricky Hatton will be huge, and will kill anything the UFC puts out this year

That was Hatton Mayweather though. I don't think Pacman and Hatton will do that high of numbers, at least 500,000 though IMO.
