I mean with all the upsets that happened in PRIDE & UFC (Gomi/Diaz CC/GG Couture/Sylvia Jardine/Alexander etc), the purchasing of PRIDE FC (RIP), the number of professional fighters testing positive, Gomi, Arona, Lil Nog, Barnett, Overeem, Fedor, etc not being signed, and Matt Serra becoming champion (Yikes).

The weirdest year in MMA, no doubt. All the sickening upsets, Randy leaving and everything else. There were some really good fights, though, like Tyson's fights with Edgar, Guida and Tavares, Diego vs Fitch, Shamrock vs Baroni, Takaya vs Carvalho and Bustamante vs Takimoto.

Rogerio getting KO'ed was heartbreaking. Worst moment of 2007 other than Frank getting himself DQ'ed.

Definitely an odd year. You could add the Chuck/Jardine upset to your list too.

GSP/Serra was the worst moment of 07 for me, but the year ended up well with a great NYE card.

Agreed. If I could take back one upset it would be Rogerio's KO loss against "Can give but can't take punishment" Sokoudjou.

If they ever fight again, Minotoro will own him.

I enjoyed most of the upsets. Other than Pride folding, 2007 wasn't bad at all.

I was dissapointed in particular fighters that I support, but not dissapointed in MMA.

Pretty much, Pride collapsing is the only thing that hurt MMA.

Word, I got my heart ripped out of my ass too. Also, Crocop got pushed down a hill, Chuck and Wandy both hit a rough patch.

Lets just say it wasn't the best year.

Pride dying was horrible, especially since they put on a great show in Pride 33 (Pride 34 was such a meh show, not a way to go out, in my opinion). They die just when Satoru Kitaoka was going to make his debut.

I miss my Pride.

Also, just what happened to Mirko? Dude was at his best in 2006. Just a year later, he looks horrible. He had a solid debut, and then just fell apart.

Big Nogueira only fought once in 2007. That sucked. Not the Herring fight or anything, just the fact that Nog wasn't active that much. Oh well, at least he got to punch Herring in the face a lot. Herring and Nog can never have a boring fight. It's impossible.

Also, screw Gomi for breaking my heart and looking horrible against Nick Diaz. He would've smashed Diaz had he actually trained. I hope the booze and strip clubs were worth it, Takanori.
