I have been shocked at Gomi lately. I'll be interested to see if Nog and Shogun's fights were hiccups. Maybe Nog could get back on track against Couture. Also I'm real interested to see how Shogun is now that he isn't injured. I don't think an aged Coleman is a good test, but I think this year in his second fight, we'll know if old Shogun will return.

I am really depressed with my man Takanori Gomi.
I'm also depressed that Hidehiko Yoshida looks to be doing worse, not that he's a legend in MMA.
Don't even talk to me about Mirko CroCop.
Noguiera getting finished by Frank Mir broke my heart. I'm not even a huge fan but seeing Noguiera, one of the greatest heavyweights of all time being finished like that was depressing.
I was really depressed when Brock completely ran through Couture. Again, it's not that I'm a big Couture fan, it's just that Couture being a legend, loses to Brock who was 2-1 that was depressing.
In the period of one year, I went from pretty damn good at picking fights into a naive child who refuses to stop believing in legends.

Thing is a lot (NOT ALL) of the NEW COMERS into the UFC couldn't hold a candle to the Old Timers in there prime--- its to bad---seems the quality is not there any more. JUST MY VERY PERSONAL OPINION. UFC is ALL about how to make the most money and they are NOT really into MMA--- Honestly---Think about it.

Yeah yeah, the next guy can optimistically come in and say "Oh well it's the passing of the torch, you should be looking forward to the new and young talent sprouting out!"
I say f*ck that, I'm an old timer, I lost a large piece of my heart when PRIDE died, and now that all it's reminants, and even the UFC icons are dropping, there's nothing left for me to cling on.
But what I do like about this bittersweet situation is that you can no longer say it's only the PRIDE guys that suck now because a good chunk of the UFC's guys have dropped as well. So that arguement is officially dead.
Still sad though

So I'm excited for Kitaoka and Aoki. Obviously not as much as before, but still, I really like those dudes.

Plazz pretty much sums up my feelings on MMA and especially the UFC right now perfectly with these 2 posts.

In order to watch Japanese MMA live you have to stay up to either 3 or 5 am the morning of the card and find a stream online to watch it from. There's usually a few people in the shoutbox during the cards and they can prolly hook you up with a stream, since you can't talk about them on the forum.
You can also watch them the next day on sites like http://mmalinker.com/
Also Brazil does have it's own venue. It's called rioheroes but it's vale tudo and it sucks.
