Csac's punishment

Wow I figured that Silva would face some penalties, but I was surprised that they suspended his cornerman, Alex Davis. I think that was a little harsh, especially since the drug test is contested. In my opinion, the commission is very aware, that Silva can make a good living in Japan. However it will hurt his cornerman, because he won't be able to corner his other fighters in California and possibly other states since they sometimes stick together on suspensions.

The CSAC is corrupt, just like the NSAC. They'll do whatever they do until they get replaced. Too bad this means Bigfoot won't be fighting in UFC or Affliction, where he should be, for a long time.

I think that is a stupid decision, why punish his cornerman he was just doing his job it was Silva's choice to fight.

It is absurd to punish his cornermen, ATT or manager.

That said... it will have the effect they are hoping for. People will be pretty damn reluctant to corner or even frickin manage a suspended fighter.

What's next? Suspending a manager for negotiating a sponsorship for a suspended fighter? this is pretty rediculous and i am pretty sure those people being censured would have a solid case in a real court -- as opposed to the psuedo, dictitorial, court of the AC.

Damn, every day it seems I hate CSAC more and more. What gives them the right to think they have the power to enact decisions based upon the actions a fighter does outside their jurisdiction?

It seems to me that if CSAC suspends you, that simply means that you cannot fight in California, or any place that is connected to CSAC, i.e. Nevada because the athletic commissions are all in the states.

He fought in Japan, who cares. Also, their steroid rulings are a joke. They rule, the fighter appeals, and even when there is good enough evidence to have it thrown out, they still refuse accept that they may be wrong.

How about we stop throwing events in California until they revamp their athletic commission and its practices.

Am I the only one that thought the CSAC was going to better, but this looks like the same old stuff. I do think that if the test holds up they have to increase Silva's suspension. It would have to be a definite positive, though. Maybe this is the new guy trying to take a hard line on the his first big decision. Hopefully he'll calm down.

CSAC has been full of crap ever since I can remember. This kind of stuff typical of them.
