Mayhem Miller Retires

my friend said he was listeng the jason ellis show on sirius sattelit radio. mayhem comes on every monday for a segment.

mayhem said he's retiring becasue he jsut doens't have the drive to put in the hours to become a top fighter. he said he still enjoys traning and fighting but just not to the extent that you need to be a top guy.

i could still see him take some smaller fights against crap guys in the future you just probably won't see him make a run for the ufc.

sorry no link, there might be an article somehwere but he jsut announced it monday

edit: apparently this was announced a while ago here is a link http://mmamania.com/2008/10/20/jason...ition-for-now/

When this becomes official, it's going to be terrible. I don't guy who the hell it was against, he's entertaining as hell. Even he's entertained by the beatings he's taken. Just watch his fight against St. Pierre.

I'm a pretty big Mayhem mark, as I've went out of my way to look for a lot of his fights. He never was a TOP fighter, but he's solid. I hope he reconsiders.

I'm gonna cry if this becomes official. He's just so entertaining to watch whoever he fights against. Most of the time he got his ass kicked in big fights, but I totally love his style. I will always remember him in the fight against GSP. He lay on the ground and was about to kip up and ate a big right kick in the process, haha. Priceless.

He was way to clownish for my tastes. Hes like a Steve O from jackass funny, where he just rambles on and does dumb shit for attention.

He was a decent fighter though. Took a sweet beating from GSP, you gotta love that.

Mayhem's been in some really, really fun fights (The Lawler fight for example), but the guy is just painfully unfunny. I don't think I've ever laughed at anything he's ever done.

Agreed. He's on a very low level.

Kamikaze is now 5-0. Watch his most recent fight here.

I think he's pretty funny and it's too bad if he retires. Not always funny, but when he kicked the head off of the pinata wearing his mexican wrestler ensamble or whatever it was in his entrance that was hilarious.
