It looks like he's gonna sign with Strikeforce judging by the latest interviews, but that's all speculation. He's all about money. He's 34 (maybe 35 now) and doesn't have too many good years left so he needs to make the most of it. He has two twin babies and is coming off back surgery and would require a couple tune up fights before going against anyone notable. I don't expect to see him fight anyone interesting until maybe half way through 2010, if that even happens.
In some ways I miss antics. He didn't do it for show, he just did it because he was an angry young guy. Guys today like Junie Browning etc do it because they are purposely looking for attention. At one time Ortiz had it all - fame, talent, the lhw belt in the UFC and one of the best undefeated streaks. What remains to be seen is if his glory days are long gone.
pssst ---> A LOT is two words
WTF is an "amatuer" ? Ama-chooooo-ur? as seen under my nick.
