taping hands

Can anybody point me in the direction of some good resources for taping hands for MMA. We only know boxing/kickboxing style and they seem to be pretty different in how they do it. The MMA guys I've seen keep the palm open. Thanks.

It is a sign of respect, that one fighter shows the other. Just like when boxers tap gloves, they each know that they are not going in there with the intent to injury the other one. It is being a good sportsmen and that is something we should be thanking with all of the crap that goes on in sport, that two people still have respect in each other to show it.

Dude you are on a completely different page than what he was asking. He was asking about the best way to wrap or tape your hands. Not tapping gloves before you fight.

the point of taping your hands is to protect your knuckles and support your wrists. The best way to do that is to wrap the whole hand. I dont see any point in doing any special wrap where you leave the palm open. The hand wraps really dont effect the manipulation of your hand.
