he's also a cheating, unapologetic douche. i can respect that, but it taints his record imho. also his ground game is terrible, i think he took a lot of fights against fellow kickboxers for that reason.
Agreed. To me, he is a B level fighter, that puts out exciting KO's, which is why promoters put him against guys that they know will stand and bang with him. They want to fill seats and sell PPV's.
I think he is one of the worst personalities in the sport.
There is something strange going on in that mans head.
Id say hes a B level fighter, havent really seen him do anything in a while tho.
The dude has massive KO power don't get me wrong but about 1/4th of the guys losses have come from DQs, this guy bites motherf**kers, he gouges eyes and he knocks refs the **** out. I guess what i'm saying is that he is a cheating bastard with no respect for the people he fights or how he fights them, but yea he is a very good kickboxer and KO artist.
i got much respect for Yvel... first of all amount of KOs is crazy and second his performance against Barnett was insane considering amount of time he spent not fighting anyone good and then went on and KOd Rizzo...
started KOing fools in 97 !!! maintaining the power and KOs all that time
this guy is for real
plus i heard people say that he is a nice guy outside the ring
You guys have it all wrong, its about quality not quantity. Legend has it that before his epic battle with Royce Gracie, Art Jimmerson punched a man so hard in the face that his right boxing glove dissolved and he didnt have time to find another one. That is some F"N power bruddah!
Lol yes Im specificaly talking about the quantity of KO's not quality. For quality my man Chuck of course. Just to see who has the most. Wow 61, thats nuts!
KO ratio would be a more impressive stat for me. If I have 500 fights I'd probably get 30-40 KOs even if I was lousy. In any case, he has 31 T(KO)s in 50 fights, so 62% of his fights end with him winning that way. Still pretty good but I bet there's better out there.
Rob Kaman one of, if not the best muaythai kickboxer ever Had 112 fights 98 wins and 78 knockouts 11 losses and 1 draw. He fought out of amsterdam, im not positive but I think he was training Branden Vera a couple years ago
Igor was the Fedor of the HW 12 years ago for sure, everybody was scared of him. I remember him beating Kerr when Kerr was a super steroided beast and then he had to fight Coleman the same night (who is also a steroided out beast) and lost. I remember him taking vishes knees from coleman in the corner from the north -south position, that dude was an animal
