MMA Fight Council

Not sure if you guys have followed the MMA Fight Council, but the organization's web site went live, as they're on scene at the UFC Fan Expo in Las Vegas.

To learn a bit more, check out their new site: http://www.mmafightcouncil.com/

Looks like an interesting concept, and I'm sure I'll end up working with them at some point in the future.

Well, Mike, we've had conversations about my issues with the group and their leadership.

I'll reserve judgment on these guys, though, until they actually start doing stuff.

Josh, they have huge plans, but we'll see how many of them are realistic. I'm supportive of the idea in general, and the people involved in the project, but it's definitely going to take plenty of work and effort by Aaron and other board members.

I hope for the best...

I was actually more interested in showing you about their plans for MMA, not the design of the site.

They have some interesting plans, only time will tell how set in stone they are. But we'll see.

quoted for truth.

Quote:
Bernard Bailey "Bernie" Kerik (born September 4, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey) is a former American law-enforcement officer. Kerik was Police Commissioner of the City of New York from 2000 to 2001, under Mayor Rudy Giuliani. In December 2004, George W. Bush nominated Kerik as Secretary of Homeland Security. A week later, Kerik withdrew his nomination, explaining that he had employed an illegal immigrant as a nanny; subsequently, numerous allegations surfaced which would likely have led to a confirmation battle. In 2006, Kerik pled guilty to two unrelated ethics violations after an investigation by the Bronx District Attorney's Office, and was ordered to pay $221,000. He is currently under Federal investigation: A grand jury issued a multi-count indictment on November 8, 2007 alleging conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud and lying to the Internal Revenue Service. Kerik surrendered to authorities on Friday, November 9, 2007, was arraigned before Magistrate Judge George Yanthis in White Plains, New York Federal Court, and pled not guilty to all 16 charges.

Yeah. Repped for truth.

He's not the only corrupt SOB on there. Some of them are very likable people, but not necessarily the kind of people I trust running a company.

I figured I'd just post here that I've started working on a piece on the MMA Fight Council, and am talking to Aaron Richman, who (from what I understand) runs the operation.

If there are questions that you guys think need to be addressed, let me know.

I've already brought up the involvement of Bernard Kerik, so I'll see what he has to say about that.
