Aaron Brink to be featured on A&E's Intervention

MMA fighter Aaron Brink will be featured on Intervention this week. For those of you not familiar with either 1. Aaron Brink is a heavyweight who has one bout in the UFC, a first rd. sub loss to Andrei Arlovski 2. Intervention is a TV show which documents drug addicts whose family and friends attempt to place them in drug treatment.

Fighter Brink receives "Intervention"

What's more entertaining than watching drug addicts with one foot in the abyss dry out while family and friends dehydrate themselves crying? I can't think of a damn thing.

A&E's "Intervention" -- a docu-series that thumps its chest like it's spreading some kind of positive anti-drug message, but is just as relentlessly sleazy as any other reality junk on the air -- is pandering to MMA's demo this Monday with a profile of Aaron Brink, a SoCal fighter with a meth problem.

"I would rather do crystal meth than train for a fight," Brink says. (And suddenly, Brock Lesnar's postfight speeches look very sane.) "If Aaron doesn't stop using meth, he will die," a loved one admits.

Getting your popcorn yet?

Brink, 34, hasn't fought in two years and never received any significant attention during an 11-year career. I sincerely hope he benefits from the episode, either financially or physiologically -- particularly if the series finances counseling -- because the viewer sure as hell isn't getting anything out of it.

watched it. didn't focus much on him as there was a women alcoholic on the same episode. he has some "interesting" habits while on meth that's for sure. ex porn star to. said he relapsed at the end after treatment.

I watched it. They split the show up so half of the show was focused on some woman alcoholic. I almost turned the show off cause I thought they screwed up the time listings or something and I didn't know why they were talking about some women half way in.

Also, because of what he associates meth with, I doubt this guy will ever be cured.

He masturbates 12-14 hours a day, doesn't your penis turn blue and fall off at that point?
