(this was meant to be in general mma sorry, but read anyways)
Interview with Nick Diaz:

Am I the only one that thinks this is very hypocritical?
They say Nick Diaz won the fight because of supposed weed induced super powers, and suspend him.
But they claim the reason it is banned is due to it's effects making you slow and lethargic and giving you a DISADVANTAGE.
So first point:
How can you ban something that doesn't give the advantage in a fight. They might as well ban fast food, sweets and empty carb foods, as they may make you "slow and lethargic" Or perhaps a ban on alcohol?
Second point:
Cannabis is not a performance enhancing drug, much like alcohol it is generally used as a relaxant.
Nick Diaz won the fight not because he was a cannabis user, but because he's a tough dude, and I think he deserves to sit back with some buddies, light up and perhaps watch some ufc unleashed.
I've also read that he has a California medical marijuana card.
Nick Diaz in interview with CBSS sports:
Do you think that it should be a fighters choice if they wish to indulge in marijuana smoke in there private life?
