Ha ha ha! We all move like that when we're sparring, or drinking and sparring. I saw this earlier and was shocked that, short of a can of beer and a trailor behind him, he looked so amartuerish with his strikes in this video.

Fedor would die if he did that with Silva or Machida. That is too slow, to predictable and too short a range of movement.

Sorry guys, Fedor is A-one against HW strikers but Fedor is dead against real strikers, ahem, Machida/Silva.

He better put more time in practicing to take phenominal strikers down, not being a cheap imitation of them.

How dare you guys doubt Fedor's striking ability. He is the Roy Jones Jr of MMA.

He can also lift Brock up in the air and F-5 him.

He can submit Frank Mir too.

Fedor is not a traditional western style boxer, so it's not really fair to say he's not "technical" just because he doesn't box a certain way...

Obviously Fedor wouldn't strike with guys 50 pounds lighter than him who are better at strikes, he would grab them, toss them, and maul them in 2 minutes.

Fedor's movements aren't like Andersons... Andersons are like Fedor's.

And Carwin would beat Fedor? Mir would beat Fedor? How the hell would either of them do that?

If I hear one more time that Mir is a world class, top 10 BJJ guy in the world I will scream. Mir would get destroyed in the stand up, his weak TDD would be exploited, and he'd be either tapped out or submitted.

Carwin would... be a can. He's really impressive and I see him winning by TKO against Lesnar in the 2nd-3rd round. But Lesnar has no head movement, a weak chin, and no KO power in his hands. And Carwin would get outclassed against Fedor, he's simply too green right now. Let him beat Lesnar, defend the belt a few times, really show if his TDD defense has improved in the Lesnar fight, and we'll talk.


And Fedor's punches aren't "looping." His hit percentage speaks for itself (100% landed flush in the Sylvia for the example). Read his book, understand his striking, watch his fights, then say his striking is anything but technical. This is a man who's been outstriking the best strikers for years.

And before anyone starts this UFC has the best HW division joke... who in the UFC HW division has great technical striking? Arlovski used to, you could sort of pretend like Kongo does, a few of them have KO power... but who has the head movement, power in both hands, exceptionally fast jabs and uppercuts like the Russian does? And amazing striking from the clinch? Not to mention he's got strong, quick headkicks and leg kicks. Stylistically nobody matches up well with him, and that's why he's the best.

His footwork isn't perfect like Lyoto's, definitely true. In his book he doesn't even address footwork besides stance and switchsteps. Who knows why this is, maybe he needs to take some ballet or something. But you can see in that video, his angles are amazing and his speed is unbelievable, offensively and defensively.

He's the one man who's nuts are big enough for us all to swing from.
