Conspiracy Theory Time
Who here feels that Brett Rogers wouldn't be above taking a dive for a payday? I was just kicking that around mentally with all the talk of Russian mafia and how heavily M-1 leverages their existence on Fedor's MMA record. I'm curious how the Strikeforce/M-1 thing will play out long term. I hope Strikeforce learned from the Kimbo fiasco that they need to avoid cults of personality.
Just fun discussion, thoughts?
**EDIT**
I just realized I put this in the wrong forum. Would someone slide this under the Strikeforce door?

Why should Rogers take a dive? Fedor should murder that guy. Badly.
If he doesn't, then damn, MMA sucks.

Puncher's chance, it could happen. GSP/Serra will always come to mind in these conversations. I don't think many people expect Rogers to win, but I don't see M-1 wanting to take chances with Fedor.

He'll make a nice payday going in the cage and fighting his ass off to win. And why would you pay to have the heavy underdog take a dive in a fight he's already likely to lose?

I think Brett has more to gain from beating the #1 P4P fighter in the world than from taking a dive. But taking a dive is probably a much safer bet, he probably wouldn't even have to do anything different than he was aleady planning on doing

I actually thought this thread might be about the conspiracies people might come up with if Rogers won, as the invincible one, simply cannot lose any other way. I doubt conspiracy theories will arise from a Fedor victory. And Rogers just aint the diving type.
