MMA Haven: What needs to happen to see Jake Shields in the UFC?

Jake Shields: Right now I'm happy with Strikeforce. I have a couple of more fights for them and then we'll see what my options are.

Haven: Will we ever see Jake Shields Vs Nick Diaz?

JS: No.

Haven: You are the last Top ranked WW who hasn't faced GSP, both of you have said you'd like to see this fight happen. If it were to happen
what would be your strategy given GSP's dominant wrestling as of late?
Would you try to keep it standing or try to work from guard off and
allow it to go to the ground?

JS: I think that fight could go anywhere. If St. Pierre got the takedown,
I'm good at sweeps. I think my jiu jitsu is better. But he's strong
and really well rounded. It'd be a great fight.

Haven: People have been critical of your fight with Mayhem Miller,
Miller is a tough guy to put away, GSP was unable to do it and he's
only been stopped twice in his career what do you have to say to those
critics?

JS: Like you said Miller is tough to put away. GSP wasn't able to and
neither was Jacare. Maybe I could have pushed a little harder. I'll
have to watch the fight and see what I could have done different.

Haven: You fought for the now defunct Elite XC winning a belt there, now you're a champion in Strikeforce, how does Strikeforce operate
differently then Elite XC, given that they seem to be a much more
stable organization?

JS: They're a lot more stable. Scott Cocker knows what he's doing and seems to be making the right moves. I think he's bringing in good people and putting on good shows.

Not a Shields fan but good stuff.

I dunno if he would have finished Mayhem by 'pushing harder' but it seemed, he didnt even try to finish him.
