I dont think that Hendo is guaranteed a win in this fight by any stretch of the imagination. His stand up is powerful, but he is a one trick pony. Big right hand, thats pretty much it. Shields is one of the best grapplers in mma today. I cant think of another fighter that has his combination of great bjj with great wrestling as well. He has faced better strikers then Hendo in Lawler, Daley, and Condit and he beat all of them with out to much of a problem. I think this will be a great fight. If it stays standing, Hendo will probably win, if it goes to the ground, Shields will probably win. Cant wait to see it.

Why shouln't he he's got a very imperssive winning streak! One of the biggest in MMA today. Everybody would be confident with such a streak. But in reality he probably also think's, that Hendo would be his biggest fight and toughest fight so far in his career. He know's that too!

Lol. I don't see Hendo having much trouble at all. That's to say the very least.
Hendo MW and LHW Strikeforce champ?

FINALLY, we get to see shields face some actual competition, sorry but Robbie Lawlor and Mayhem Miller are a pretty weak road to take to a title, something tells me shields is about to get a big wakeup call here, on the bright side, after we see Hendo beat Shields, we don't have to listen to him call out GSP anymore.

Key point in Hendo getting subbed by Silva; he was hurt standing by Silva and then got subbed. Shields has no chance at all of hurting Hendo standing. His striking is mediocre (at best) and he is an average sized MW (at best) whereas Hendo is a big MW with an iron chin.
Even if it goes to ground I think Hendo is strong enough and experienced enough to avoid subs. Standing Hendo will demolish Shields. This is a really bad match up for Shields. I won't say totally unwinnable since a submission win is possible but I'd put Hendo at about a 5 or 6-1 favourite.

Shields is a finisher. Despite not being able to finish Mayhem...(which GSP could not do either)
He's been finishing alot of his recent fights in the first or second round.
"lay n' ghey" doesn't fit his behavior pattern atm.

Agreed. If I had to call it, I'd say Hendo by TKO rd 3, or Shields via RNC rd 4. Shields is GREAT at avoiding damage and he isn't likely to get outpointed or submitted in this fight.
