So, is Bobby going to do an another opening match while being on the poster? And why is the poster similar to Heavy Artillery, only with different colours?

Any chance they are going to give Lashley a somewhat legit opponent? They should put him up against Shane Del Rosario, that would be a pretty decent step up in competition.

I kinda like the two posters.

Although they'd be better if they had actual opponents instead of just some fighter names... ;p

Wow, I see this fight as Robbies' toughest test ever and not even in Sobrals' top 3. But we've seen a lot of examples lately (Melvin) that anything can happen in a fight.

Lashley's opponent for Strikeforce LA will be:

Quote:
Heavyweight prospect Bobby Lashley (5-0 MMA, 1-0 SF) got a little more notice this time around.

After two scheduling snafus kept him from the Strikeforce cage in April and May, The former TNA and WWE "professional wrestler" will face fellow undefeated heavyweight Ron Sparks (5-0 MMA, 0-0 SF) on the televised portion of "Strikeforce: Los Angeles."

Multiple sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that verbal agreements have been reached between the fighters and contracts are expected shortly.

"Strikeforce: Los Angeles" takes place June 16 at the Nokia Theatre in California and coincides with the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), a popular trade show for the computer and video-game industries. The event airs live on Showtime.

Lashley, a two-time NAIA national wrestling champion who also competed for the U.S. Army, appeared most recently in January at "Strikeforce: Miami," where he fought Wes Sims on eight days' notice at the Showtime-televised event. Sims was the third proposed opponent for Lashley and the sole one to receive final approval from the Florida State Boxing Commission after opponents Yohan Banks and Jimmy Ambriz were denied. Lashley defeated Sims by first-round TKO.

The heavily muscled fighter recently opened an American Top Team affiliate school in Aurora, Colo., and said he'd fight every month if it were an option.

"I'm playing the catch-up game," Lashley told MMAjunkie.com. "Some of these guys have 10, 20, 30 fights under their belts. I have a mere five fights. So, of course, any opportunity I have to take a fight, I want to jump on it."

Sparks, who's listed at 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds, bested Johnathan Ivey on points at "Revolution Fight League: Maximum Impact" this past June. It was his first decision win after four consecutive first-round stoppage victories, all by KO or TKO.

The Louisville, Ky., native was expected to fight up-and-comer Shane Del Rosario at "Strikeforce: Los Angeles" but was unable to come to terms with the promotion. It is unknown whether Del Rosario has received a replacement opponent for the June 16 show.

Easy win for Bobby
