This one is lined up for the Fedor VS Werdum card.... interesting matchup for Thompson.
Healys record looks unpromising with a 23-15 count... but if you take a close look at his record...
He just snapped Bryan Travers 5 fight win streak
He's finished Dan Hardy via Guillatine
He's defeated Ryan Ford who is very tough, and he's done that twice, once by armbar.
He's submitted Paul Daley via guillatine.
He's defeated Michael Guymon another UFC up and comer
And he's defeated Carlos Condit via Rear Naked Choke
He's also been in the cage against Chris Lytle, Rory Markham, Dennis Kang, Jake Ellingberger, and Jay Heiron... All of which are tough fighters who always come to bring the pain.
He's won 6 of his last 7 fights. This is an excellent test for Thompson in my opinion, I'm looking forward to this one.
If Josh Thompson can convincingly win this fight he is legitimatly back in the title hunt IMO and should face K.J. Noons or Jorge Gurgel for a contender spot ..
Although I wouldn't complain if DREAM had the stones to put Aoki back in to the hunt with those three...
