I love how they are calling for the demise of MMA in Canada while not mentioning anything about stopping boxing as well, which is definitely more dangerous in the long term to the fighter's health.

Combat sports will always be out there, either legal or illegal. I think modern MMA, while posing some legitimate dangers, feeds a need for combat sports in a fairly safe environment all things considered.

As long as people are aware of the risks and reasonable safety precautions are in place (which they are already), leave it alone.

Ontario recently legalized MMA, so I'm sure that once British Columbia sees the financial success and overall safety regulation of UFC events taking place in Canada, they will eventually legalize it as well.
It's only a matter of time folks, MMA WILL TAKE OVER!

i couldnt be bothered to read it sorry, but il go with the old argument that if MMA has a chance of getting banned, then boxing should go first, because the track records show Boxing is way more dangerous sport in terms of deaths and serious injurys.
