That was a rag article clear and cut, when you call a fighter "some guy with sideburns" instead of an up and comer with a solid record to date which is what Chad Griggs is..

Chad Griggs likes to stop his fights. He's 9-1 with 9 wins coming by way of stoppage he's never sent a fight to a decision but had anyone relied on Cagepotato for that type of info they'd simply know that Chad has sideburns.

Also, rags like ths and critics have said things like Coker and Strikeforce "didn't expect Mo to lose to Feijao".... thats one of the funniest things I've been reading on websites.. like they tryed to put King Mo against a can and it backfired. It's Rafael Feijao, Look at his last fight against Antwain Britt who is a powerful wrestler with heavy hands... very similar to King Mo but bigger.... Feijao hammerd his head in. That fight was no given. And Feijao has a deep tool box in the cage and comes from an outstanding camp.

Statements like this...

this is why parts of that article made me chuckle...sounds like the reporter was spitting instead of typing... how much more biased could you sound when reporting that there will in fact be a MW tourney for a #1 contender slot?

And a let's be honest a 1 night MW tournament to determine a #1 contender for the MW crown is an excellent way to sort through the rankings and create a title shot that makes sense.

And WTH is this??

I wanna know this guys source..
I would compare Strikeforce not thinking Mo was going to lose to GSP vs Sera I. Let's be honest neither promotion was prepared for what happened. Also you can't argue that the announcing and reffing (which isn't Strikeforce's fault) were terrible. The problem is that none of the guys who won are as easily marketable as their opponents. We all know the are a few people on the forum who try to continually build up the Strikeforce promotion as an A level league with good promotion and production. No matter how much people want Strikeforce to be more it is a B league with bad production, it's not.

Actually the reffing was their fault because they didn't do the proper background work and find out that guy has a history of being awful and dangerous to the health of fighters. They can bring in better refs if they want to the UFC does it all the time in new areas and strikeforce did it on this show with big john.

Neither Strikeforce nor the UFC decide what referees are at each event, or ref each fight. It's decided entirely by the Athletic commissions, it just so happens that Strikeforce's last event was held in one of the most shoddily goverened and worst organised athletic commissions in the US.

Yeah i can see Strikeforce going the way of Affliction and EliteXC in the near future. All of their marketable names have lost and their hype has died: Fedor, Hendo, Mousasi, King Mo, Lashley, everybody. I feel bad for them but honestly id rather see the UFC have a monopoly on the MMA industry, that would be in the best interest of the fans.
