Ben Saunders?

Is there a place on the Strikeforce roster for 'The Killer Bee'?

Nah... they would have picked him up if they wanted him.

Strikeforce is not the home of UFC rejects just because there are a few ex UFC fighters on the roster..

I think Saunders has a good chance of ending up in MFC, he seems like the kind of fighter that is a perfect fit there.

Saunders I think could fit on anyone's roster, just because he was cut by the UFC doesn't mean he's terrible, just means he needs to work more on improving and get some wins under his belt to get back to the UFC. I could see him in Strikeforce or MFC, possibly Shark Fights also.

Why not? There isn't a lot of talent out there. Where else are they going to get it from? If Saunders were to join Strikeforce he would be in the top 5 of their current WW division. He's young, but I don't see the downside of Strikefoce signing him.

There's tons of talent out there. They just have to be discovered. Ben Saunders has just been promoted so he's more famous.

More famous doesn't mean more skilled.

If there's tons of talent why hasn't Strikeforce found it? Saunders is a good fighter, and being famous doesn't hurt strikeforce. They signed lashley and Batista just because they were famous. Saunders has fought on the big stage, knows what it takes, and is more skilled than many of the current Strikeforce WWs.

Not sold at all. If he knows what it takes than why didn't he make it?

More skilled? I'd give the edge to Diaz, Woodley, Noons, and I could even see Cyborg outstriking him..Daley would kill him...

He'd beat Riggs... could go either way with him and Smith... He'd probably beat Zaromskis based on size alone if he didn't get caught with a high kick...

But I don't see him dominating anybody at WW that has a name..

He doesn't have the king of star power or draw as Lashely does so that's a moot point...

I gotta go with Rival on this one. Saunders had the UFC hype machine behind him which gave him his big name. His only notable win was over Marcus Davis. He lost to Swick, Hallman, and Fitch. Saunders has a good clinch game and showed some promise, but his name is definitely bigger than his skillset at this point.

I guess I should have said he has the experience against top guys and has fought on that level. Diaz would beat him. Noons is a toss up. I think he can beat Woodley. He easily beats Cyborg, Riggs, Smith, and ZAromskis. Daley isn't a Strikeforce fighter yet, so that point is moot.
He might not beat a name at WW, because the only name at WW in Strikeforce only has one name at WW. He did beat Marcus Davis which is a bigger name than all but maybe two of Strikeforce's WW. The problem is that since Strikeforce doesn't have any name fighters in WW, so adding him helps if he wins or if he loses it gives other guys a win over a name fighter.
