Round 1 - Both fighters cautious to open, and Mann throws the first jab. Evans looks at kick low, and Mann unleashes a few quick hands. Missing early, but the speed impresses. Evans backs away from a two-unch series that ends with a high kick. Evans yet to really fire. Mann is short on his strikes, though he does land a counter-right. Evans with a jab. Mann controls the head and then moves away. Mann crisp early, but he has yet to really scores heavy. Evans catches a kick and works Mann to the floor, but Mann busy from his back. Round 2 - Mann lands a right straight. Evans does get in a jab. Lefts traded. Mann kicks to the body. Evans looks like he's trying to figure out something to get in without a counter. He misses a big overhand, though he does score a 1-2. Evan lands an overhand right. Mann lands a flying knee that knocks Evans down as he was trying to throw. Evans recovers quickly and lands a nice right hand when they re-engage. Mann fires off six punches and a high kick. Evans blocks it, but he's on defense. Mann continues to press forward with punches. Evans doesn't look hurt, but definitely bothered. He shoots in for a takedown. He gets it, but Mann does a good job of scrambling up and reversing the position. Mann works to his feet and pulls away. Mann takes the center and scores low. Evans moving away and covering up well, but Mann remains the aggressor. Evans tries a takedown, and Mann wraps around the neck. Evans pulls away.Two punches and a kick from Evans. Mann runs forward with a leaping knee at the bell. MMAjunkie.com sees it again for Mann, 10-9.
Round 3 - Evans with a 1-2 to open, and he returns with a low kick. Mann gets one of his own, and Evans spins around. Mann kicks the leg again. Traded punches, and Evans works in a takedown. Best start to a round for Evans, but Mann turns the hips and tries for the armbar. Evans slams Mann to the floor to release his arm, and he tries to follow it up with a few ground-and-pound blows. Mann works to his knees and covers up Mann drives in, but Evans stands and tries to control the head. He can't, and they reset on the feet. Cautious approach. Mann lands a low kick. He's definitely not rattling off the combos as he was before, but he's still pressing forward. Mann ducks under a right and lands a counter. Evans scores to the body, and he follows it up with more of the same. Pace slowing. Evans shoots in unsuccessfully. Evans walks into a knee on a shot attempt. Mann thinks choke as he hits his back. It looks possible with the right-arm guillotine, but Evans pulls out at the bell. Better early stuff from Evans, and he may have taken the round. MMAjunkie.com gives him the nod, 10-9.
Round 4 - Evans fires off the first shot, but they look tired. Mann returns fire, and his don't look tired at all. Mann kicks to the cup. Only a momentary stop from Evans. He moves in, but Mann is there to connect to the chin. Evans trying to score, but he may given it his all in the third. Mann still crisp, and he's scoring with kicks. Evans telegraphs a takedown. He gets it, but he's in the same guillotine he was in earlier. He survive it again. Mann works his left leg high. Nothing there. Evans pressing in. Mann trapped against the cage, and he tries to scramble up. Evans tries for a topside guillotine, but it's not there. Nevertheless, he stays on top. Mann on his knees, but he takes a few elbows to the head and rolls. Mann works again to his knees, but he takes more elbows. Uninspired round for Mann, who looked to have Evans worn down early. MMAjunkie.com sees the round for Evans and has it even entering the final round - a shocking turn of events from the pace of the first two frame.
Round 5 - Mann still light and still moving forward. He lands a low kick. Evans starting t duck the hooks now. Mann leaps in with a knee that doesn't land flush. Evans works the body. Traded straights. Evans shoots but gets kicks low as he comes in. Evans still backing away. Mann lands a few shots flush. Evans shoots, but this time Mann does defend. He floows up with a combo, and Evans scampers away. In the center, and now Mann is firing those combos again. Mann lands to the body and moves away. A pushing left hand moves Evans away. Nice right for Mann. Evans throws a tired left. Mann still crisp with his punches. Evans hoots again, and Mann just backs away. High kick for Mann. Snapping low kick for Mann. Evans eats a right hand. Mann doesn't pounce wildly. Crowd wanted it, but Mann is picking him apart in the final round. Leaping knee for Mann misses. Evans tries to fire off shots, but Mann stands him up with a flurry. Mann with a leaping knee in the final bell. Evans turns it into a takedown, but MMAjunkie.com doesn't think that's enough.
