its not only a fight I would like to see, but also could show the benefits of cross promotion events which is all good.

depends on what happens with Huerta vs Alvarez IMO

if Huerta wins (i think he could) i wouldnt really care and would rather see Huerta vs Melendez.

Gil is one of my fav fighters for awhile. Glad to see he finally getting alot of respect and going to continually fight top guys.

Either matchup is fantastic.

Highly, highly interesting bout. I see no reason why SF won't jump at the chance to put this one together.

Should be the winner of Alvares/Huerta to face Melendez.

It really is a promising sign for MMA as a whole that these two organizations are attempting to continue building a fight between these two instead of protecting their respective products...

I'd like to see Bellator and Strikeforce continue exploring their rosters...

who wouldn't like to see... Lombard VS Jacare or Kennedy... Huerta VS Thompson or Masvidal, Rodriguez VS Delrosario or Cormier...

Good, Askren, and Horwich against the Strikeforce WWs....

Hopefully they can work together.... they both like the tournament formats... this really could become a great working relationship..

I agree that they need to wait until this fight is over. I don't know if I think Huerta will win, but he has a definite shot.

Yeah, if Huerta wins I think he should get the shot with Melendez. This upcoming fight is basically the contender fight. Wouldn't it be great if Bellator's lightweight champion also had the Strikeforce lightweight belt?

Problem with that is, if Huerta wins he doesn't get Alvarez's title.
