Anyone remember that Judo thing Leininger did at UFC 13? From the clinch he did a back roll and landed on top of the guy in mount. He quickly lost mount due to lack of wrestling(and surprise?) Leininger got battered but for that moment he looked like an MMA god :laugh:raise01:
Has anyone done that since? seems like an awesome move since it lands you right into mount. I think it would be really useful anyway.
If that's the throw u mean the reason probably is that is easy to reverse. And if it goes wrong the other guy is on top of you. And it's really hard wityhout the gi due to sweat
Aye thats the one...awesome eh. This seemed to come out of nowhere at UFC 13. I think it would only work now with the surprise factor...the other guy would have to think you are pulling guard of something.
I can see someone good in judo doing that. It's not an easy move to do even in judo. It's like certain wrestling moves that are spectacular but not easy!
Well that there is a chance he can do it again, it's just not likely. Akiyama is a good judo and could probably pull it off again. Especially when you think of who he is going against, Bisping could get thrown easily!
