Cormier on TUF
 

Do you think Cormier is headed to the UFC after seeing him on the ultimate fighter tonight. The only other fighter that was given any camera time during the the ultimate fighte that fought for another promotion was Shields. He is now with the UFC. Do you think this is telling for Cormier's future or am I just paranoid?

Nah its just cos he fights at AKA which means he is tight with Koscheck, i wouldnt read to much into it. He is strikeforces next big thing so i doubt the UFC would pay the $$$ for him at this point.

You know I just realized that he only signed a 3 fight contract with SF and he has fought for them 3 times. SF has got to quit letting guys go help on TUF. Its like Shields why in the hell would you let your champ who is about to become an unrestricted free agent got spend 6 weeks with the president of the competition. I can't see that going wrong.

SF has no choice, its a non exclusive contract, fighters can go do whatever they like.

Cormier has great potential, more than Cole Konrad imo

I think he will eventually end up in the UFC.
Just like Shields.

At the end of the day it really is what the fighter prefers.... if he wants to be more active and have more control of his carreer and life than he stays away from the UFC...

If he wants to be a star, or fight the bigger names he goes.

I don't think Cormier will be heading to the UFC anytime soon. Cormier is making good money in strikeforce because he can fight for smaller promotions and Strikeforce at the same time. With cormier's caliber wrestling I think he could do really well in Strikeforce/ smaller promotions, but I think he needs to continue to build his experience and skill level before attempting to get in the UFC.

jake shields turned up on tuf alot last season too...

Yeah but Jake has been chasing a fight with GSP since he was in EliteXC. Hes always talked about signing..

The UFC is something that was on his agenda. And this is the perfect time in his carreer to have signed.
