That's a very common mistake made on this forum. Coker never came out shooting at the UFC even after Dana White began shoveling shit in Strikeforces face.

As a matter of fact Scott Coker said he isn't competing with the UFC. He's said it since day 1.

How is STRIKEFORCE overhyping themselves? When has STRIKEFORCE managment said "we have better fighters than any organization in the world"?

Furthermore why the negative criticism on STRIKEFORCE trying to give us as fans what we want?

They are putting together the best fights that anybody can outside of the UFC for free...

They're bringing guys over like Fedor, Aoki, Manhoeh, Mousasi and co from over seas and putting them in a cage and not charging us a dime for that. These fighters in turn have open contracts and can fight whereever they want. And fighters are flocking to STRIKEFORCE. Do you think Paul Daley, Hendo, and JZ got tricked into contracts?

Free fights. Strikeforce managment is humble when the UFC attacks them.

This organization is getting alot of dirt kicked at them for no reason. Sometimes my fellow MMA fans make me sick.

Listen here holmes, its not FREE. I have never seen a single Strikeforce show live. You know why? I don't get Showtime. You have to buy Showtime, which means buying the movie package, an additional 30 dollars a month on my already $80 cable bill. So not free!

Well that's really your fault. That's like saying that the SPIKE shows aren't free because I don't have premium on Direct.

UFC 120 isn't free? Fight Nights aren't free? UFC Unleashed isn't free? WEC on VS isn't free? Of course it is. Pony up for a good package. It's not 30 bucks a month where I come from, you may want to look at your cable provider and not STRIKEFORCE.

Yes you just need to get your cable bill worked out.

And by the way Showtime is only 12 dollars extra a month on DirectTV. Not 30 dollars.

I know he had signed an EliteXC contract that Strikeforce acquired in the purchase of that org. That contract had Lawler getting paid a crazy purse and that's why he was pissed that it took Coker so long to put him in the cage.

Noons payday is embarrassingly low. Thompson and JZ are high and this -Marloes Coenen: $3,000 (includes $1,000 win bonus) is just plain embarrasing to the sport. The UFC pays undercard fighters more and this was a title fight.

That looks more like the payouts top athletes deserve. Nothing is more offensive to me than athletes getting more money than the people who are really important on this planet. 50k a fight makes 100-150k a year plus sponsor money. I bet that EA sponsorship deal is big money, then you have the royalties for the EA MMA game... sounds like a nice income. Now all we need is a fighters' union so everyone can get these 50k/fight and everyone can live happily ever after.

thats just the up front $.

behind the scenes, other things are happening + endorsements.

American sports fan are too used to NBA and NFL wit salarie caps and you actually know the real contracts ppl have.

They only release those numbers to keep the athletic commission happy, we will never know the real numbers.

Watching sports makes people happy and takes there mind off of things(if somethings going on) they deserve what they make or more in this case.

nothing brings people together like sports and music.
