sherdog fight finder vs other websites
edit: How accurate is sherdog fight finder? I found another site mixedmartialarts.com according to which certain undefeated fighters on sherdog have losses on it, or have most of their fights as amateur.

I believe that wikipedia is the most reliable of the bunch because they are the most heavily and regularly monitored and edited. databases like Sherdog and mixedmartialarts.com are updated rapidly with new info (and thus make great original sources) but mistakes take forever to fix, if ever, while wikipedia editors continually examine conflicting sources and are pretty good at figuring out who made the error and getting the data right.

I learned in school that Wikipedia is the single worst website you could ever put on the bibliography because of how openly edited it is. However, in terms of MMA I agree that is is the MOST reliable website.

Yeah, it's a bad idea to use wikipedia as a source. Use it as a database (for which it is amazing and nothing else like it exists), and then drill down into the sources it cites, and use those Even a textbook is only as good as it's sources.
But for MMA it's pretty safe. People don't often bother to make boring vandalizations, when they do they tend to be silly and obvious and get caught very quickly by editors.

sherdog is like a cheap brothel, you go there for fun and hope to god you don't take anything with you when you leave.

When it comes to fight records, it seems most if not all Wikipedia articles use Sherdog as their only source.

QFT on both!
wikipedia is primarily good for rumors.
i was looking at some undefeated fighters with 7-0 or 10-0 records on sherdog (stats- best record overall) and when i looked up more info on these fighters i found out actually half their fights were amateur or they had losses on their records that were not included. that gives them a false aura of invincibility and i dont understand why sherdog doesnt fix it.
