Daniel Cormier and Mike Kyle Win at Australia's Xtreme MMA 3 Event
Posted by Chad Webb on 11.06.2010

Check out the details of those who won...

Daniel Cormier, Strikeforce heavyweight prospect, remains undefeated after his 1st round win over UFC and PRIDE veteran Soa Palelei. That match was the main event for Friday's Xtreme MMA 3 event at The Sports Centre in Olympic Park, Australia.

Cormier retained his Xtreme MMA heavyweight title via submission due to punches. His record is now 6-0 after just starting his professional career 14 months ago. He is also the King of the Cage heavyweight champion and is 3-0 under the Strikeforce banner. There is no word on when his next fight in the US will be.

UFC, WEC and Strikeforce veteran Mike Kyle also earned a 1st round victory over Stephen Oliver to earn his 5th straight victory. New Zealander "Big" Jim York won a 2nd round win over Lucas Browne for his 4th straight victory.

Cormier looks like he has an excellent oppurtunity to go far in this sport - his wrestling is exceptional and as we all know world class wrestling will take you a long way even if you have little else to offer. However, it seems like his allround game is improving with each fight. Curious to see who his next SF fight will be.

Wow, Cormier is 6-0 after just 14 weeks. The future's looking bright for him.

Too bad Strikeforce isn't going with Cavalcante-Kyle IMO. Mike Kyle's been on a streak as of late and his the last person to defeat Cavalcante.
