You Down With OSP? Strikeforce's Ovince St. Preux Steps Back in the Cage

Quote:
Ovince St. Preux will fight for the third time in just six weeks when he takes on Ron "Abongo'' Humphrey at Strikeforce's first Challengers event of the year January 7th.

"I always thought I was fighting Jan. 7, but when I had a chance to take the fight (with Radach), I took it,'' said Saint Preux, a member of Knoxville Martial Arts Academy who passed what most expected to be his toughest test in impressive fashion. "That was a good fight and a hard fight that we both took on short notice but there was no way I could turn down fighting in Tennessee.

"I like to stay busy and I'm in the gym training, working out and trying to improve all the time anyway. So why not fight again? Besides, this is like a home game for me."
Holy crap man, the guy has fought 6 times in 2010 (all wins), and is now having his 3rd fight in 6 weeks. That's insane.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig

I wouldn't mind it if they didn't do it 5000000 times a minute.

its all they call him. Its like they think if they say it enough people are gonna start thinking he is GSP.

Or get people to think SF has a GSP of their own.

...He showed some skills against Radach but Benji moved up in weight. He gased early & badly letting OV just pound on his head. I think having the "St." in his name and the fact that it's hard to pronounce, OPS is easier. OV has good conditioning and his striking is alright but Abongo will be a solid test for him...

Abongo is very solid test... Radach was coming off a long lay off and moving up in weight but Britt is tough too...

If he picks up a win here he's gonna be sending a huge message to the 205ers in SF..

A division with Feijao, Hendo, Mousasi, Mo, Kyle, and Sobral makes for some exciting matchups with St. Preux

Yeah, Abongo and Radach would be tough tests. Those two fights should be good. Once he fights those two guys he should be ready for the bigger name guys!
