Melendez never seems short of wanting to challenge himself... just when I thought he couldn't find anybody that hits harder in the 155lb/170 realm than Eddie Alvarez for him to call out he goes and finds Paul Daley....

I say let em go at it... this fight has "dangerous" written all over it for both fighters reputations...

This fight will never happen. Daley only wants lightweights who will standup at all costs. He wants nothing to do with a guy that big who can grapple.

This would be a great fight. But i would really like to see Daley fight Diaz if he backs out of the fight against Mayhem.

Can someone please explain to me why the hell Daley/Diaz hasnt been made yet? This is the only fight that really makes sense for either of those dudes. Strikeforce's matchmaking is shit.

Maybe they're trying to make their belt look legit and that's why Diaz/Daley isn't made yet. Daley doesn't deserve this fight. He looked good against Smith who is the best possible matchup for Daley and who was outclassed. Before that Daley didn't make weight and before that he sucker punched a guy after the bell rung and got away with a lousy 30 day suspension thanks to the sissy that is the Quebec Athletic Comission, give me a break! In no way does he deserve a title fight.

Do I want to see it? Yeah.

Name one other WW in strikeforce other then Diaz that you can clearly rank higher then Daley.

Coker has said that he is interested in making Diaz/Daley happen, but he wants to "fully explore" the Diaz/Mayhem situation first.

Tyron Woodley after he beats Saffiedine. Make him and Daley fight and you have a legit contender for the belt. Meanwhile they could make Cyborg fight Voelker. At least that's how I'd do it. If Saffiedine beats Woodley they could have Saffiedine/Daley for the contender spot.

Scott Coker must love the fact that the only guys calling eachother out are guys in different weight classes. They'd love for 2 guys in the same division to call eachother out for once. I'd be very surprised if Mayhem-Diaz, Daley-Noons, Melendez-Noons or Diaz-Jacare ever happened. Just set Diaz vs Daley up, least once Daley knocks Diaz out Nick'll be keener to fight Mayhem, though after that the money making potential of the fight drops significantly. Not the best situation for Strikeforce really.
