I think p4p lists are stupid because they are nearly impossilbe to solidify. So here is my list based on if these fighters were to all enter a tourney. Here is how they should be ranked.

1. Fedor Emelianenko(no brainer)
2. Mirko Crocop (could have Nog here but I think CC wins a rematch)
3. Big Nog (still the best sub guy in the game)
4. Josh Barnett (still very underrated)
5. Aleksander Emelianenko ( I still have faith)
6. Tim Sylvia (he just wins baby)
7. Mark Hunt (best striker in mma)
8. Andrei Arlovski (still very dangerous)
9. Fabricio Werdum (excellent on the ground)
10.Chuck Liddell,Mauricio Shogun, Wanderlei Silva(the 3 best LHW's are probably the only smaller guys that can hang with the big boys)

Yep! Werdum and Aleksander were 11 & 12 on my first list. Aleks has amazing height avantage over the 3 LHW's so maybe I should of put him in the top 10 and he's not one of those tall guys that sucks balls like Sims or something. Then Werdum beat Aleks so maybe he deserves a top 10 spot aswell.

6) "Hollywood" Dan Henderson - Highly underrated. great all-around, very smart
7) Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto - Explosive, relentless, so vicious
8) "The Axe Murderer" Wanderlei Silva - Brutal striker, long time standing champion

I knew i was gonna get some heat for that but I still think Aleks is better than Sylvia, AA, and he is better overall than Hunt. The thing is I think Werdum would lose to AA and Sylvia so thats why I have him #9. Where would you have Aleks?? He can't be lower than #7. The only guys who I think you can argue having ahead of him are Hunt and Werdum. Because i think he would kill Sylvia and AA. And he would obviously beat any of the 205 pounders. Not to mention he is still a really young guy. I think him and Hunt would be a sick fight. I would also like to see a fight with him and Vera. I almost put Vera on the list but he just missed the cut.

I wouldn't say he would rip through AA and Sylvia. Honestly, I wouldn't have aleks on my P4P list, but if it was just heavyweight I would put him behind AA, Sylvia, Hunt and Werdum. He would put up a decent fight against AA, Sylvia and Hunt, but Hunt isn't going to get KO'd and I see him KO/TKO'ing Aleks, AA would be smart and take it the ground and do what Werdum did, and he would probably have the best chance against Sylvia which is a fight that would go either way. Just my two cents, I wasn't giving you heat, I just disagreed. Mind you, you supported your argument so I'll give you props.

I dont think he would rip through AA and Sylvia either but I think he would win. Compared to Hunt Alek's is a ground wizard. He actually has impressive Sambo credentials, I think he could submit Hunt. And my list isnt a p4p list its basically the seedings of a 10 man open weight tourney. Basically A list of the 10 tuffest mofo's regardless of size. But the thing is size is very important in MMA now adays. It isnt 1995, you wont see 175 pound guys beating 250 pounders anymore. The big guys are too skilled. So thats the reason my list is mostly HW's.

Yeah, I got the impression you thought that Aleks would tear through AA and Sylvia, because you didn't really go into detail about it. Aleks does have ground credentials but he doesn't really use them in his fights. Thus I think he would want to stand and trade with Hunt, where he would eventually gas and get picked apart.

He would probably bang with Sylvia too. I see this fight going either of these three ways:

1. They stand and trade on the feet, with Aleks getting the better and getting the KO/TKO.

2. They stand and trade for a round or two, with neither getting to much damage, and then Aleks gasses and Sylvia wins a decision or aleks gasses and Sylvia gets a late KO/TKO.

3. Sylvia takes him down from the start, wears him out for a round, and then they begin trading and Sylvia gets the better.

In the fight against AA, I have already said that I would think that AA would be smart and take him down and expose him their. But if the decide to trade, it could go either way.

Yeah basically the main faults I see in Aleks are that he gasses and he doesn't use his supposed "awesome" ground game. But as you said he is young, and I am sure he will develop into a great fighter one day.
