What must Lindland do??

In all honstly how does Lindland win this fight?? I have been thinking about this and I cant think of how he wins. Fedor has easily beaten other great wrestlers that are much bigger and stronger than Lindland. There is no way he will be able to control someone as strong as Fedor on the ground. If monsters like Randleman and Coleman couldnt neither will Matt. I'm curious to what you guys think here. Because I have been talkin to a couple guys I train with and a few actually think Lindland can win. No stupid posts like Lindland will only win if he brings a bat. I want a serious discusion on this because I really dont know how Lindland thinks he can pull this off.

Erh, something illegal. Take some drugs, give Fedor some drugs. Then during the fight he could slip a couple of knees to the balls. He could poke Fedor in the eye.

Hmm, well he could capitalize of a Fedor mistake(mind you fedor doesn't really make many.). Other then that, all I can really see is a thumb to the eye.

By making a mistake, I mean giving Lindland any openings. I predict Fedor to come out strong, trade on the feet, sprawl a few takedowns, near the end of the first take him down, impose his will. I expect Lindland to survive the first, then the same thing happen in the second and Lindland gets TKO'D.

How does Matt Lindland beat Fedor?

1) Lindland could stab him a couple of times before hand, but that might just make him mad.

2) Lindland could shoot him, but it wouldn't surprise me if Fedor got right up and threw a kimura on him.

3) Lindland could kick him in the balls, but it would probably just shatter Lindland's shin.

4) Lindland could drug Fedor, but I doubt drugs would have any effect on Fedor.

5) Lindland could take steroids, but honestly, I doubt it would make a difference.

6) Lindland could try to capitalize on the weak points of Fedor's game, but, let's face it, Fedor doesn't have any weak points.

7) Lindland could try and cut Fedor, but Fedor's blood might burn Lindland's flesh until he was lying in the middle of the ring like the Wicked Witch of the West screaming "I'M MELTING!"

I really don't see Lindland winning this fight either.

lindland cant really win this fight. the only way he could end it would be to get fedor making a mistake, and fedor doesnt do that very often. if lindland cant end the fight early, the win goes to fedor, because no one dominates enough of the fight to beat fedor on the scorecards.

I was just on some other site u guys knoiw which one Im talkin about and people actually think Lindland can win..I mean not alot of people but some. Personally the only way I see Fedor losing would be by a doctor's stoppage. There is like a 1% chance that if Lindland gets on top he could cut Fedor and it could be stopped. Does anyopne know if elbows are allowed at Bodog events??

No Elbows whatsoever on the ground. There intent is to stop cuts. ;)

Freak cut. That's it. That's the only way it's going to happen (frankly pretty much almost any opponent, not just Lindland). But let's examine all the other possibilities anyway:

1) Knockout - No. 'Fedor has an iron chin' + 'Lindland doesn't have heavy hands' == Not happening.
2) TKO - No. This would assume Fedor either getting pummeled in the corner (is it in a ring?) and not fighting back or Matt Lindland Ground n Pounding Fedor until the ref stops it. Neither one of those is going to happen
3) Submission - No. Fedor is NOT getting submitted. In my mind either one of the Nogueiras has a better chance of being submitted than Fedor and those guys are impossible to submit.
4) Decision - Did you hear the one about the russian judge that ruled against Fedor in a fight? Me neither.

Fedor is at least as good and generally better than Matt at every single aspect of MMA imaginable. Plus he's bigger. Plus he holds all the intangibles.
