2011 Dream card with fight from each division

If you could set up just one fight in each division to make a dream card based on current form in MMA what would your card be?

JDS vs Overeem - hard choice because ever variation of Reem/JDS/Fedor/Cain had a huge shout

Jon Jones vs Mousasi - From all possible dream cross promotion fights this would top my list

Stann vs Bisping - Personal choice just a fight I would really love to see happen and could well be possible very soon I feel

Daley vs Alves - So much entertainment value right there it makes my mouth water.

Guillard vs Pearson - Top entertainment value opponents who imo are the most exciting LW's to watch.

Aldo vs Edgar - Had Edgar to fight Guillard @ LW but it was a close call between him and Pearson, so moved Edgar down to 145 to face Aldo on this card.

Dominick Cruz vs Miguel Torres - Have to confess I am no expert on this division but I saw Torres in his last fight and was impressed, and with a record like his its hard to deny he could not be far off the line to have the chance to take the belt back.

HW - Overeem - Velasquez (Jones - Overeem/Cain/JDS - in 3-4 years time)

LHW - Jones - Shogun[/B]

MW - Belcher - Wanderlei

WW - Alves - Daley spot on Killer

LW - Aldo - BJ - Aldo isn't a LW officially but i see him moving up after 2-3 more fights at FW

FW - Hominick - Nunes, with Aldo up to LW

BW - Cruz - Faber

.

The thought of Daley vs Alves makes me wish DW would change his mind about Daley and give him a second chance, besides I am sure he has learned his lesson and would never do anything like that ever again, just to see that fight because odds are it would be fcuking reaching the relms of fight of the century.

Heavyweight Cain Velasquez vs Alistair Overeem. Simple really, isn't it?

Light Heavyweight Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua vs Anderson Silva. What a fight that would be, mouth wateringly good stuff.

Middleweight Alan Belcher vs Jorge Santiago II. My boy Alan Belcher put the last un-avenged beating on Santiago, with a head kick victory in 2006. Since then Santiago has gone on an 11-1 run, with his only loss to the impressive Mamed Khalidov which was avenged in the re-match. His last fight with Kazuo Misaki was arguably the best fight of 2010, and this one would be superb to watch.

Welterweight Thiago Alves vs Carlos Condit. Man that'd be a good fight, an even better fight than the very intriguing Alves vs Daley fight AFAIC.

Lightweight Frankie Edgar vs Gilbert Melendez. 2 champions fighting in a cross-promotion battle. Awesome.

Featherweight Jose Aldo vs Hatsu Hioki. The best FW in the world in Aldo taking on arguably the best 145lb fighter currently fighting outside the UFC and possibly the 2nd best FW in the world. Michihiro Omigawa has a shout as the 2nd best in the world, especially if he gets past Chad Mendes, but for me Hioki is the one. Has a superb skill-set, and looked fantastic against Sandro. Would love to see this fight.

Bantamweight Miguel Torres vs Urijah Faber. You know the UFC are going to put this fight together at some point. 2 of the most popular fighters in WEC history, and with Faber now fighting down at 135, this fight just has to happen. I'd love to see it.

182lb Catchweight Contest Jason 'Mayhem' Miller vs Nick "Don't be Scared Homie" Diaz. Seeing Mayhem pound Nick's face into the Octagon floor would be so good to watch, as would the pre-fight build up. Really wanna see this fight!

Cheated with the last one, as I'd just have to add that onto the card, but here's how the card would stack up in order:

HW Championship of the World Cain Velasquez vs Alistair Overeem
LHW Championship of the World Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua vs Anderson Silva
LW Championship of the World Frankie Edgar vs Gilbert Melendez
FW Championship of the World Jose Aldo vs Hatsu Hioki
Jason 'Mayhem' Miller vs Nick Diaz
Carlos Condit vs Thiago Alves
Miguel Torres vs Urijah Faber
Alan Belcher vs Jorge Santiago

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I would pay very good money to watch that card!

Daley versus Alves unfortunately won't happen cause Daley is no longer in the UFC. The only fight on the initial list that could happen is Cruz versus Torres. Otherwise all the rest are just dreams!

Not so sure I think Bisping vs Stann is a huge possibility if Bisping wins his next fight, all things considered about timing on waiting for current fights to unfold this could happen around the same time as the winner of Belfort/Silva vs Okami and could well be the next No.1 contender match up for a title shot, which I think makes a lot of sense.

And if Maynard beats Edgar, with the current LW division been so stack with possible title contender matches coming in from many different angles, could be a while before its possible for Edgar to get another title fight at LW as the list is long. So a good move could be for him to cut to 145 where its very possible he would be given an instant title fight.

Speaking of Bisping when is his next fight? That would be a good fight though, Stann versus Bisping. The winner would definately be in the title picture!
