I dont agree that the winner of the HW GP should be #1 or possibly #2 outside of Cain Velasquez. If it was Fedor or Overeem winning the tournament sure, I think I would put them #1 or at worst #2. But the rest are so down the ladder that if they win they shouldnt be considered top, even if they win. Maybe if Silva or Werdum wins they should be #2 (Cain is #1) because they have to go through guys like Fedor and Overeem. That other bracket is less relevant, they are going through easier competition, its not on the same level as the left bracket. The left is filled with the already Top 10 ranked HW's in MMA. So I would put it like this:
Overeem or Fedor winning: Solidifies #1 HW over Cain.
Werdum or Silva winning: Pushes them #2 HW behind Cain.
The Rest winning: Pushes them to #3 HW with a crack at Fedor or Overeem in a real Title Match.
I mean the right side is so questionable in talent, that in another Forum I go to, it was mostly agreed that if Cro Cop was in the right side, he would have a chance to win it all. Yes, The guy who people think is done in the UFC can actually be competitive in the SF HW GP if he was in the right bracket.
