Lost in the upset, how good is Del Rosario??
I gotta say, i feel sky is the limit for this guy. His kickboxing is crisp and his BJJ is great, he transitions well and isnt afraid to mix it up a bit either. I think this kid has a bright, bright future and i could see him giving some of the top dogs at SF a run in the very near future.
Thoughts??

I'd take him over Fedor, Arlovski, Antonio Silva, and Brett Rogers.

Ya iv'e been following him for a while, he's definitely going to be a player in the heavyweight division.
I like how he's won fights after being rocked and put in bad positions, it tells me a lot about a fighter when I see that.

I'm a huge Shane Delrosario fan but he'd get smashed by Antonio Silva. I can't see anywhere he wins that one.
Antonio is a brutal HW.

Brutally slow = the brutallity would just last longer for Del Rosario = not good for him!
Del Rosario is a young prospect but he needs to slowly start fighting some bigger names.
I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Arlovski.
I think he would have more than a decent chance of beating him.

What?
He's faster, more agile - solid grappler, he's a better striker - than Antonio Silva. He's not like a kid - he has good fight experience. What else does he have to do to fight a 'name' like Antonio Silva? If you win you move up and fight someone ranked better - Antonio Silva among a few other 'names' make sense. Arlovski needs to retire for his own good just like Chuck Liddell.
Resario is in a good camp, 11-0 by finish at 27 it's time to fight. As much as you may dislike the UFC, atleast top prospects get a shot, if they win they fight better competition, keep moving up. They don't preserve 'names.'

it all depends if Del Rosario could stop BFs TDs. If he can he would massarce him on the feet. On the ground Del Rosario is no slouch but i dont think he would fare well under BF.
I think Del Rosario has the makings of a champion.

He has looked great so far. Unfortunately for him though, as soon as someone gets hurt in this tourny, Strikeforce is going to throw Fedor back into the mix and rob him of his spot as the first alternate.
