elite xc setup is pretty dam cool!!

when they enter the fighters are high atop pride style and there is pyro works and come out of a dragons mouth.. pretty cool presentation.. when they walk high on the ramp thing it clearly shows the fighter walkin in unlike in the ufc where their buried by fans and the high seating..

and another thing i like is round cage! no kinks where a fighter can get trapped in.. the productin of it was very professional and on par with the ufc..

this is the first elite fight ive seen and i think it was awesome!

It was very good. Although the announcing team needs to improve. It sounded a bit off at times. Especially with talk about Fake pro wrestling(even GoldBerg said that). I did enjoy it. EliteXC has a long ways to go to being on Par or even in the same ballpark with Pride/UFC,but they had a nice start.

It was very enjoyable.

i thought it was a very good start for elite xc. had it not been for the let down in the main event, it would have been the best opening event for a new organization. the announcers will get better as time goes on, they just need to learn how each one works. the production was great, the entrances were very PRIDE-like, a definite plus. i enjoyed it.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty damm weird that Mauro Ranallo brought up Goldburg's match with Hulk Hogan as if that was a real fight. Everybody and thier mother's knew that WCW and WWE wrestling matches are scripted.

I also thought their intro was a little hokey when he gave this "the fighters are inspired by the spirit of the dragon speech." Other then that, EliteXC was pretty cool. I'm a little dissapointed that I only have showtime for a limited time.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

how does that comment make sense? first off, the only people that would care about the quality of the show, and how it effects mma, are the fans. and second off, the fights were fine--except for shamrock being a worthless scumbag...

the fact is, an official stand-up meter is a horrible idea. it's like they want MMA, only as long as a guy can slap on a triangle or armbar within 10 seconds of being on the ground. it shows a fundamental lack of knowledge and respect for MMA and the fighters, as well as the fans. true, spectacle is all about getting in new fans, but to cheapen the integrity of the sport and take a dump on the hardcore fans of the sport just to get a few new sponsors is a horrible thing!

#1 rule when talking about mma

DO NOT COMPARE IT TO PROWRESTLING IN ANY MANOR

I know why they did refrence the Hogan/Goldberg fight.. because of the number of people and the pressue of being infront of a live crowd, but still... MMA is real, Prowrestling is not... Americans look at wrestling as a Soap, MMA is a sport. Huge difference.

The debut tho of EliteXC on show tho was good, the final fight could have been better, not ending the way it did. But never the less, the female fight was the best thing Elite could have done. IMO

My 12 fighter army is as follows:

Dan Henderson
Mac Danzig
Mirko "the man" Filipovic
Anderson Silva
Fedor and Aleks
Mark Hunt
BJ Penn
Q. Rampage Jackson
Karo Parisyan
John Fitch
Frank Shamrock
