Kalib Starnes Retires

I just read on MMANEWS that Kalib 'Running Man' Starnes has retired at the age of 36. His record is 12-7-1

I reckon it's the right decision. Thoughts (if anyone cares)?

Hate to say it but I'll never recover from the Starnes/Quarry fight. Seeing him run like that left a bad taste in my mouth that I'll never get out when talking about him. Glad to see him leave. Hopefully he finds a career a little more suited to him.

Well he spent an entire fight running away from Nate Quarry than had a few fights after that I think.

ahahhah. He blew his opportunity to fight more in the UFC with that performance. That fight screwed his career up.

It's a shame but i think the level of MMA has improved drastically in recent years and he wasn't able to keep up.

He was the favourite at MW when TUF3 began, well rounded but ultimately not good enough in any area to remain relevant. Sadly he will be most remembered for running away from Quarry.

Agreed. It's unfortunate that he'll be remembered for "bitching out" of his fight on TUF due to 'broken' ribs, and for his running away from Quarry. But eh, not too heartbroken.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig
