Round 2 - Coenen swings on the opening, but Tate closes the distance and again puts her against the cage. Tate is warned about grabbing the cage. Tate works for a single leg, but after hitting the mat, Coenen takes her back. Coenen gets in one hook and then secures the body triangle. Tate controls the wrists in hopes of avoiding the choke. Tate struggles to free herself, but Coenen's grip is tight. Tate kneels and covers her head, but Coenen again flattens her out. Tate continues focusing on the wrists. Coenen delivers a few punches and works for the choke. Tate fends it off as Coenen works punches to the ribs. She tries head shots, but Tate covers. Coenen postures up from back mount and delivers punches, but she's warned about punches to the back of the head. She rolls Tate and again works for the choke. Tate ably defends and successfully survives the round. But it belongs to Coenen, 10-9.

Round 3 - Coenen lands a nice body kick, and Tate counters with a combo. They reset, and Coenen lands a low kick. Tate considers a takedown but eats a punch. Coenen lands another low kick, but Tate successfully dips and gets the takedown. Coenen works butterfly guard as Tate works from the top. Coenen ties her up and avoids damage, and Tate struggles to make room to posture up. The pace slows as Coenen corrals Tate with full guard. Tate finally stands and looks for an opening, but she's forced back into guard to rethink a strategy. Coenen pulls her tight, and the ref eventually calls for a standup. The fighters trade low kicks. Coenen is quicker on the trigger, but Tate scores an easy takedown. Coenen again works butterfly guard before settling for full guard. Tate is pulled close, and Coenen essentially shuts down her opponent's offense from her back. Coenen sweeps just as the round ends. It's an action-light round, but MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Tate.

Round 4 - Coenen gain is first on the trigger, but she's not landing with much accuracy. Tate stays low and looks for an opening. Her punches are coming up well short, but Coenen can't counter in time. Coenen catches a low kick, but she can do little with it. Tate shoots and pushes Coenen across the cage and into the fencing and gets the takedown. Coenen secures a choke as she hits her back, but Tate again easily pops out. Tate has side control, but against the cage, she has no room to maneuver. She finally creates some and delivers punches to the head. Coenen tries to reverse, but Tate pins her to the canvas. Tate sees an opening and grabs an arm-triangle choke. She torques it, and after a struggle, Coenen is forced to tap-out. We've got a new champ.
