I had an 145lb MMA fight one year before this fight happened and lost in 28 seconds by TKO. Needless to say I was an "Independent" at the time and did not have any training whatsoever.
I just wanted to see if I could conquer my fear which is the only reason I do MMA, to get past my demons; having high anxiety.
My true love in jiu-jitsu so I went for the submission, clearly my stand-up looked/is bad but with all my nerves it just made the stand-up portion look even worse than normal.
I am trying to overcome my fear of negative/judgmental opinions about myself which is why I post it here so I can get any type of criticism possible.
fun fight! thanks for posting, and congratulations!
Im not gonna criticise you at all as I have 0 fights on my resume and would never have the balls to do what you did.
Congrats on your fight, i would not expect anyone to critisise you on here if your main motivation is to overcome anxiety - it seems you are doing quite well!

I am planning to have my first MMA fight in either September or October (my club supports a small in house group of events). Talk about nerves!!! How did you prepare for the fight?... specifically how were you the day of?
