I love this stuff. I'm a bit of a prospect junkie in other sports that I follow as well. I'm not sure what the criteria for being a prospect is in MMA though. Do you know?

I like the list in general, but Gustafsson, Koch, Pat Curran, and Pascal Kruass aren't getting as good a grade as I think they deserve.

Here is my hastily made top 10 prospects list using only the guys on that list.

1 Rory MacDonald
2 Chris Weidman
3 Alexander Gustafsson
4 Charles Oliveira
5 Patricio Freire
6 Roger Gracie
7 Gunnar Nelson
8 Edson Barboza
9 Pat Curran
10 Maximo Blanco

If John Makdessi qualified he'd be around 7

Yeah determining what a prospect is, is somewhat difficult without clear amateur status.

This is how the prospects were determined: http://www.mmaranked.com/prospects_f...gExplained.php

Makdessi.

Anyway, I like Freire particularly. Weidman should also be a champ down the line.

Weidman is a beast plain and simple...If you want a to ask who is going to beat Anderson Silva -- this is the guy! Hope he gets a shot sooner rather than later.
