Fedor Emelianenko vs Sergei Kharitonov

If this fight were to happen who would you pick to win and why? I would half to pick Kharitonov to win this sadly because Fedor has declined way to much. I feel that Sergei has better crisper boxing/kickboxing than Fedor and is stronger and younger. I don't think Fedor would get Sergei to the ground because he to has really good Sambo and is heavier so that would make it really hard for Fedor to get Sergei to the ground. Also Sergei has a decent ground game with good submissions and vicious GnP that he could load on Fedor from the guard. But the way I would see this fight playing out is Fedor doing his typical head hunting with his looping punches and Sergei using his technical boxing and countering through Fedor's looping punches and dropping him then finishing him off with GnP winning by KO. Taking over Fedor's place as the best Russian HW that he has been chasing Fedor for since 2000. Sergei Kharitonov by KO

Moved to the correct section. Neither of these men fight for the UFC, sir.

You deserve to be a producer, and a story writer too. You made all the scenario and ended the movie just like you want!

Pathetic "Sergi best HW Russian fighter" LoL

Considering the current state Fedor is in right now, I see no chance for him to win. Back in the day all the way...in fact he did dominate Kharitonov in their sparing sessions badly, that's why Kharitonov is a great fighter anyway, he trained with Fedor, but today, unfortunately, and as much as it hurts me to say it, Fedor is just not what he used to be.
Which of course doesn't change the fact that I think he is THE BEST MMA fighter of all times!

I have to disagree with you on this one. Fedor and Kharintov are at about the same level and it totally depends on how Fedor can rebound from the Henderson loss. But either way he is the best MMA fighter of all time but needs to stop while he has that distinction.

I'd be so happy that you're right, but I just don't see it right now. Like I said, I know that Fedor dominated Sergei in the past in their training sessions and generally Fedor is THE BEST of all times IMO period...but right now I simply don't see Fedor standing a big chance.
On the other hand you never know, anything can happen.
Well they are in very good terms(as opposed to Alex and Sergei) anyway so they probably will never fight.

Offtopic: Did anyone notice that the logo of this forum looks soooo much like Sergei Kharitonov?

Well the match overall isn't going to happen right now. Sergei is still in the Grand Prix and has to finish up the Grand Prix. After that Dana will release him and they are free to fight.
