I still can't believe Fedor got cut

How do you go from being the #1 fighter in the world to being cut and out of a job?

I can't imagine any other sport where one of the most dominant and elite players can fall of the map that quick.

Losing and more importantly being finished in three fights in a row.

Not to mention, he got finished in the first round in two of those fights, and he was severely beatdown in the other one, it really showed he hadn't evolved since his heyday.

He should feel lucky he wasn't matched against Brock for his comeback. His fans wouldn't have anymore excuses if so. Kevin Randleman should give him a good fight though or maybe some other can.

If a heavyweight boxer of similar age to Fedor went from being champion to losing by knock out 3 fights in a row in similar fashion to that of Fedors last two defeats most people would be calling for him to retire also. He would become irrelevant in the title picture and if there was an organisation such as the UFC or Strikeforce employing them they would surely be cut.

Nature of the fight business.

Fedor's connection to M1 Global and the trouble they bring probably make the decision to cut him all the more easy also.

Three decisive losses (KO, TKO and SUB) will do it for ya, so will just relying on punching power and not actually evolving with the sport.

Fedor done it to himself IMO

Sadly, it happens all the time in all sports. Think about how quickly great football players like Priest Holmes and Shaun Alexander became irrelovant. Football is notorious for players going from being greats to losing all of there value overnight. The UFC is actually much better about giving guys more chances then a lot of other sports organizations.

I believe Priest had the same injury that ended Bo Jacksons career and Shaun Alexander quit trying as soon as he got paid like alot of players.

Better analogy would be a great canadian Football player comes to the NFL and can't handle the jump in competition.

I like you Rusty, that's why I'm going to pretend you didn't say this ignorant comment.

I couldn't tell you why they'd release Fedor...probably just as another slap in the face basically.
